FAQ's > About Martin Bishop Racing > If you can pick winners and make so much money why do you need people to subscribe to your service?
This is one of the most common questions, and believe it or not is actually very self-explanatory.
We operate using exactly the same points system as we recommend, and we back every selection at the prices we advise. We have available a syndicated investment pool of just over £1 million for all racing investments (of which some are race horse purchases), and we would place bets well in excess of £1000/point. The problem is it is extremely hard to place bets anywhere near this size, especially in some of the smaller races.
Bookmakers do not like punters who place bets in the way we advise - they are their worst customers, and after a short while - and particularly as the stakes start to rise - accounts get closed. This is not a coincidence. This is bookmakers limiting their liability and reducing their overally risk in any given situation.
It is possible to wager larger amounts in bigger races - because the bookmakers have so many more people placing bets they can increase their overall exposure.
The cost of acquiring and analyzing the information on a daily basis would simply not be viable if it was solely for the purpose of us placing bets for the maximum a bookmaker would allow - often a fraction of what we would like to bet.
However, regardless of this, an easier answer is I am a businessman. I have always worked and always will, I look for new ideas and new opportunities. I see Martin Bishop Racing as a completely seperate business and something that I am passionate about, the same as I am for all my business ventures.
When I entered business I did not intend to earn a £1 million and then retire, once I became a millionaire I was not satisfied, my goals just changed. Once I reach £10 million I will still not be satisfied.
Martin Bishop Racing offers serious value for money for customers and massive financial rewards, there is a limit on the reward because you will run into the same trouble with placing bets once your bankroll reaches a certain level. When you get there your increase in finances will no doubt have you looking for more opportunities - like I did - and like any serious businessmen would.
