Tuesday the 26/01/2010

A good day for us yesterday, with a small profit of 3 points on the day but a profit nonetheless…

We started the day with Gemma’s Delight, and we were expecting a great start to the day, and clearly well backed throughout the day. The plan was to sit at the back and come late and looked to be making good progress, but couldn’t produce in the final furlong as connections were hoping for.

But next up was Lord Singer, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. Well backed into 3/1 favourite, but we went with a 2 point each way bet earlier in the day at the very generous odds of 5/1. Went on to score comfortably and was never really challenged. Great winner for us.

What we were really after next was another winner on the day from either Radetsky March or Monsieur Fillioux, but neither did enough. Radetsky March made a bold bid from the front as expected and looked comfortable throughout, but the front running performance over 3 miles on heavy ground took it’s toll and frustrating not to get the win there...

Still 3 points profit on the day and just over 63 points for the month so far, and despite just treading water for a few days we will hopefully be seeing multiple winners again today like on so many previous days that helps turn average days into great days...
