In profit on the day again yesterday. Again it seemed like a disappointing day and we still made a profit.

We started with our shortest priced runner of the day and he didn’t run to plan, connections were left scratching their heads.

Then we had El Distintivo, we knew this runner would have the measure of the 2 favorites in the market as he had improved, however we were hit with some bad luck when we were beaten by an unfancied 16/1 shot. Very frustrating but we got the e/w money.

Tarateeno made up for that unlucky loss with what was ultimately an easy win. Pushed along a mile out but that is his style, he has to be ridden like that. He pulled nicely clear in the last 3 furlongs and won as he liked. Great winner at 7/2.

The NAP Lion On The Prowl again had the beating of everything on show apart from one that again was a totally unfancied 22/1 shot. Again annoying but with 1 winner and 2 seconds on the day we made a small profit.

That extends our January total to just over 63 points and we expect a strong finish to the month.
