Saturday the 30/01/2010

Great day for us yesterday, over 11 points in profit on the day and now over 74 points in profit for January.

We had a mixed day again but still a great profit on the day, as always showing how important the points system is.

We had Sereth expected to win but couldn’t pick up in the conditions that didn’t suit.

However we bounced straight back with Alfie Spinner, well regarded at home and was expected to take the measure of the market principles. We were on at 11/2 and it was a great ride to get up on the run in to win a shade cosily. Great 2pt e/w winner at 11/2.

Then again we had a slight disappointment in Anne Of Kiev, never could get to the leaders and it was not the run we expected.

The NAP drifted on course and returned 7/1. We are all on the guaranteed odds so it was a great price compared to the 4/1 in the morning. He ran a fine race but used too much energy early on in the race from his draw and just couldn’t get to the winner. We still got the e/w money at 7/1.

We ended the day over 11 points in profit and hit a monthly high of just under 75 points in profit for January.

We plan on finishing January with a strong show and have 3 strong selections today.
