Fontwell

Fontwell racecourse is a dedicated National Hunt racecourse that has a figure of eight chase course with an oval hurdle course on the outside. This means there are a lot of tight turns making it a very sharp course that benefits more agile horses. The highlight of the years races is the Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle – which is a recognised Cheltenham Festival Trial. The course is well-regarded by those who attend, and the fixtures are often conveniently scheduled to promote attendance with the majority held in evenings, weekend and public holidays. New grandstands in 2010 and an allocation of approximately 25 fixtures help to make Fontwell a well liked course.
