Lingfield is a unique racecourse where all three types of racing are on offer with Flat Racing, All-Weather Racing (AWT) and National Hunt racing all featured at various times throughout the year. In all cases the track is considered a sharp course. All Weather Racing takes place throughout the year with a polytrack surface considered one of the fastest surfaces to race on. Lingfield is also home to the winter Derby – a Group 3 flat race that is the earliest flat in the UK each year. All Weather Racing during the National Hunt season ensures there is a constant supply of racing and the lower quality racing that predominantly occurs during the winter season offers a lot of strong betting opportunities.
