Plumpton

Plumpton racecourse is a left-handed sharp track that suits agile well balanced horses with tight turns and a sharp uphill finish. The course is regularly targeted by Gary Moore with it being his local track and it is always worth checking the betting of Gary Moore horses at Plumpton and he regularly makes use of 2 of his sons – Joshua and Jamie – who are equally adept at handling Plumpton’s tight turns. Although Plumpton is not renowned for having the greatest races there is one race on the 9th February 2009 that was responsible for AP McCoy riding his 3000th career winning under rules (Nicky Henderson trained Restless d’Artaix).
