We landed a very nice NAP on the day but it has to be said that we were very disappointed with Raffles Prize.

Earthlight was expected to show himself as a proper 2000 guineas candidate and did that nicely. Travelled well and when asked picked up well to win a shade cosily. He was available at 3/1 just before the off and that was an absolute gift.

Raffles Prize was expected to win but Frankie was very keen to get to the front which was a bit of a surprise. She has come from just behind the pace in all her runs and using so much gas early was not ideal. If he could ride the race again he would do things differently. Very frustrating to get caught close home for second.
