Sedgefield

Sedgefield offers National Hunt racing for approximately 10 months of the year – normally just short of 20 fixtures a year. The left handed track features a number of undulations and is considered a sharp track – although a descent before a 3 furlong rise to the winning post also takes a lot of getting. There are not a great deal of notable races – with the main stay of racing being handicaps and lower quality selling races. However that takes nothing away from the experience and Sedgefield is a well regarded course to visit for many owners, trainers and spectators.
